Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Building Performance Optimizer to join their team in Bristol. This role plays a key part in reducing carbon emissions and improving building efficiency.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading sustainability consultancy, providing expert advice on energy-efficient design strategies and solutions. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of UK building regulations and sustainability frameworks, as well as experience in energy modelling and consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform detailed energy modelling using IES software to optimize building performance and reduce energy consumption.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate energy-efficient design strategies and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
* Provide expert advice and solutions for various projects, including commercial, residential, and public sector developments.
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proficiency in IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions) software for energy modelling and analysis.
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and sustainability frameworks, including TM59 assessments and environmental legislation.
* Proven experience in energy modelling and consulting, particularly in commercial and residential sectors.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders.
* Competitive salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
