The Role

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our Cloud Development Team. In this role, you will work closely with our Platform Engineering, Datacentre Operations, and Product Development teams to optimize our fleet of groundbreaking AI systems. You will be responsible for cloud integration, validation, performance benchmarking, optimization, and development of our high-performance AI solutions.



Responsibilities

  • Partner with system architecture and engineering teams to develop complete cloud-ready AI solutions based on Graphcore's next-generation AI products.
  • Work with Datacentre Operations Engineers to maintain AI systems at peak performance in our private clouds.
  • Operate and extend existing OpenStack cloud services, contributing to the deployment and development of new ones to support internal end-users.
  • Configure and test new Graphcore AI hardware and systems using Infrastructure-as-code as they are deployed in internal and external datacentres.
  • Drive corrective actions for systems not operating accurately, working with DC operations, Engineering, and datacentres as required.
  • Develop tested and optimized configurations for our AI Cloud Reference Design.


Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring extensive software engineering experience, a proven track record of delivering technical output as an individual contributor, and a strong understanding of cloud services, virtual networks, resource management, and monitoring. Experience with OpenStack deployments, container deployment and management using Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes, and version control systems is essential. Strong communication and presentation skills are also required.
