We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Assessment Manager to join our team at Innovate Awarding. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of external assessments and maintaining high standards in assessment and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing qualification assessments and examinations across various sectors, as well as experience in developing and implementing product and service policies, processes, and procedures at an organisational level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring operational implementation of new qualifications and quality endorsement services
  • Leading on the delivery of external assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Managing the administration of examinations
  • Point of contact for examination enquiries
  • Supporting External Quality Assurers (EQAs)
  • EQA activity management
  • Technology utilisation and system improvement
  • Examination process and procedure
  • Work-based Learning and RQF qualifications
  • The role of the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) including how to ensure organisational compliance
  • Understanding of the role of Ofqual and Awarding Organisations within the context of Apprenticeship Standards and qualifications
  • Understanding of national, risk-based assessment systems/regulatory frameworks/best practice
  • A complete understanding of the key validity and reliability issues associated with different assessment methodologies
  • Regulatory knowledge and understanding with the ability to drive positive process change
  • A good understanding of the implications of existing and new assessment models for customers
  • Project Management - issues, approaches, tools & strategies; pitfalls & case studies
