Safety and Welfare Coordinator Job Description:

We are seeking a Safety and Welfare Coordinator to join our team at Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd in the Hertfordshire area.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare, including statutory training and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Statutory Obligations: Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding health, safety, and welfare.
  2. Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments for all work equipment and operations, and ensure that all accidents, near misses, and observations are documented and investigated.
  3. Health and Safety Inspections: Establish a structured programme of documented health & safety inspections to ensure audits and checks are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments, and lone working procedures are managed.
  4. Training and Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive training programme for employees, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Possess Health and Safety certification, such as NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Experience: Previous experience working within a highly regulated environment, such as Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or Medical Device.
  • Skills: Ability to provide legally compliant advice to managers/supervisors and undertake Health and Safety investigations.

Estimated Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience.
