**Job Description:** Lead Trustee Secretary and Governance Expert

**Salary Range:** £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Lead Trustee Secretary and Governance Expert to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock LLP. As a key member of our Pensions Management Consulting department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional trustee executive services to large clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of scheme governance, including current trends and developments in the industry. You will also have experience in managing projects, such as change, buy-in/buy-outs, scheme closures or mergers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a lead trustee secretary to more than one client in all areas of service delivery
  • Delivering professional and proactive trustee executive services to large clients
  • Managing projects to time and budget
  • Building and maintaining networks with key contacts within the pensions industry

**Requirements:*** A broad experience primarily gained by providing trustee secretariat, trustee executive and governance consulting services at another consultancy or specialist governance firm* Experience in the management of projects (e.g. change, buy-in/buy-outs, scheme closures or mergers)* Educated to degree level and must hold a professional pensions qualification (e.g. APMI or FPMI) or equivalent experience* DB & DC trust-based experience and a keen interest in good governance with a passion for helping boards operate more effectively* Up to date legislative knowledge and a working knowledge of the Pensions Regulator's General Code* Good commercial awareness and have previous experience of carrying out marketing and new business activity
