We are seeking a seasoned Senior Governance Consultant to join our Pensions Management Consulting department in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in scheme governance, trustee secretariat, and governance consulting services.
About the RoleAs a Senior Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional trustee executive, trustee secretarial, and governance advice to both trustees and sponsors of pension schemes. Your primary focus will be on acting as a lead trustee secretary to multiple clients, managing projects to time and budget, building and maintaining networks with key contacts in the pensions industry, and leading governance reviews in areas such as board effectiveness and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a lead trustee secretary to more than one client, providing expert advice on all aspects of scheme governance.
- Manage projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in the pensions industry, identifying new business opportunities for the department.
- Lead governance reviews, including board effectiveness and risk management, to help trustees meet regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of all aspects of scheme governance, including current trends and developments in the industry.
- Broad experience in providing trustee secretariat, trustee executive, and governance consulting services, preferably in a lead role or working in large in-house teams.
- Experience in managing projects, including change, buy-in/buy-outs, scheme closures, or mergers.
- The ability to carry out all aspects of trustee (and committee) meeting support and provide proactive consulting support to help trustees fulfill their governance responsibilities.
We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
