About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability and ESG Manager to join our team at BDO. As a key member of our Sustainability and ESG team, you will play a crucial role in driving our sustainability agenda forward and delivering our internal plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help build momentum for decarbonisation by supporting the delivery of our decarbonisation plan, which will enable us to meet our science-based net-zero targets.
  • Gather, check, and present data for annual and ad-hoc reporting, including GHG emissions.
  • Manage third parties and internal stakeholders in preparation for audits and external assurance.
  • Work with others to measure the delivery of our social impact strategy, collaborating with wellbeing, social mobility, citizenship, and equity experts and core business functions across the firm to ensure quality data and tracking.
  • Work as part of a team developing our ESG disclosures, including IFRS S1 & S2, CDP, Ecovadis, and the United Nations Global Compact.
  • Prepare management and board reports and insights as appropriate.
  • Understand our progress by maturing our non-financial data capability to gain better insights into our progress against our sustainability ambitions and goals.
  • Work with financial and programme management teams to establish rigorous processes and governance around our data, improving our confidence in what we report.

Requirements

  • A passion for sustainable and responsible business.
  • An understanding of the ESG regulatory and reporting landscape.
  • The ability to work with complex data and produce useful insights.
  • A focus on quality and an eye for detail.
  • Experience using ESG data platforms and a range of data tools to create and manage internal KPI dashboards.
