We are seeking an experienced ESG and Sustainability Lead to join our team at Sustii Ltd. This role is crucial in developing and implementing our ESG strategy across our client base, ensuring best practice consultancy and integration of our ESG framework into our technology platform.

The ESG & Sustainability Lead will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and overseeing our ESG proposition, establishing best practice, framework and methodology to our consulting proposition. This will include developing an ESG framework to benchmark the evolving ESG and Sustainability profile of our clients within the platform.

This position requires a deep understanding of ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various departments and stakeholders at our clients' businesses to initiate, organise and integrate ESG and sustainability practices across operations, policies, and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive ESG strategy for our consulting proposition, aligned with best market practices.
  • Develop a framework and approach to represent ESG metrics within our SaaS platform.
  • Develop and execute client ESG/sustainability initiatives and strategies.
  • Review and analyse client activities and provide recommendations related to enhancing the ESG/sustainability strategy, methods, framework, and related tools.
  • Capture and report on Scope 1, 2 and 3 within our client's organisation.
  • Prepare reports for consumption by the business on performance against ESG targets/KPIs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sustainability initiatives.
  • Communicate the company's ESG efforts transparently to investors, customers, employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Be a thought leader and represent our voice in the industry, supporting with PR activity and presence at events across our ESG and Sustainability angle.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Establish robust systems for collecting and analysing ESG-related data.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Conduct ESG risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Stay abreast of evolving ESG trends, regulations, and standards to ensure the company remains at the forefront of sustainable practices.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to ensure employees understand and contribute to sustainability goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in ESG and sustainability roles, ideally in the Circular Economy.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and sustainability best practices.
  • Knowledge of social and environmental governance and trends.
  • Experience in measuring and reporting on Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions.
  • Experience of implementing environmental impact reduction strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
