 Job Description:

ASOS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts. The Head of ESG and Sustainability will play a critical role in helping the company meet its ambitious sustainability goals, working closely with the Commercial ESG & Sustainability Director to manage and develop the Environmental aspects of our Fashion with Integrity programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy, integrating ESG considerations into all aspects of the business.
  • Manage and oversee the development of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate ESG risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, NGOs, and investors.
  • Manage and oversee the development of our Net Zero strategy, working closely with the Commercial ESG & Sustainability Director to drive progress towards our goal of becoming carbon neutral by [date].
  • Provide ESG training and support to employees, ensuring a culture of sustainability across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ESG and sustainability, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Strong understanding of ESG risks and opportunities, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including commercial, supply chain, and technical functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate ESG risks.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and flexibility.
