Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Essential Clinical Training Review. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for reviewing existing training programs, identifying gaps, and developing a comprehensive plan to enhance clinical skills training for our non-medical, clinical staff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where you will work closely with our education partners to develop and implement a robust clinical training program. You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing existing training programs and identifying areas for improvement
  • Developing a comprehensive plan to enhance clinical skills training
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement the training program
  • Communicating complex messages and proposals to staff at all levels
  • Building and sustaining successful working relationships with colleagues and partners
Key Responsibilities

As the Lead for Essential Clinical Training Review, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of the acute and clinical skills training needs analysis and review
  • Working with the Head of Education, Learning and Development Service to map skills and competency training needs
  • Establishing a robust reporting process for clinical skills competencies
  • Developing a method of enrolment to specific training at the stage of appointment
  • Auditing, reviewing, and evaluating education activity that supports Trust Strategic objectives
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Active registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • United Kingdom recognised Degree in a relevant subject or other equivalent program of education
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of professional portfolio and registration revalidation
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed or working towards a Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience of working in an acute clinical environment
  • Previous experience in delivering healthcare education and training
