We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Homelessness Prevention Support Specialist to join our Housing Options Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide practical support to clients threatened with homelessness, helping them sustain their current accommodation and access essential services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our team of Homelessness and Housing Advice Officers to assist a caseload of clients requiring practical support
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to help clients access benefits, support services, and debt management
  • Provide general practical support and encouragement to clients facing homelessness in their own homes
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure clients receive comprehensive support
Requirements
  • Minimum of a year's experience working with vulnerable people, including those with mental health issues, substance misuse, and debt issues
  • Knowledge of the welfare benefit system and applicable benefits for clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands
