Job Title: Homelessness Prevention Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our Prevention Team as a Homelessness Prevention Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals to achieve secure or sustainable accommodation.

About the Role

As a Homelessness Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for gathering information on clients' housing situations, recording it, and determining next steps to secure accommodation. You will work closely with landlords and partner agencies to resolve cases and provide effective and creative solutions to prevent homelessness.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual who is positive, confident, and able to establish trusting relationships with clients. You will need to be able to manage pressure situations and demands from clients, and be able to juggle competing demands and priorities.

You will be based in the Prevention Team, which is part of the wider Homelessness Team. The Prevention Team consists of 2 other Prevention Officers, an Ancillary Officer, and 2 Prevention Support Workers. Whilst we offer hybrid working opportunities, there will be a requirement to attend our head office in Lyndhurst each week.
