Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Templeton House Care Home. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages, ensuring a clean and safe environment for food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Receive, check, and store kitchen deliveries safely.
  • Implement safe food handling practices and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is well-presented and maintained.
  • Practice safe systems of work across various tasks.
  • Understand personal responsibilities regarding Health and Safety at Work legislation.
  • Act professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Contribute to a team environment and encourage collaboration.
  • Advise and liaise with the management team on supply and quality of items.
  • Responsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.

What We Offer:
