About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permitting Officer to join our team in Luton on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all works on the network are permitted and compliant, working closely with the Local Authority and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of permits and compliance
  • Coordinate with Local Authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on permitting and compliance
Requirements
  • Proven experience in street work permitting and compliance
  • Good knowledge of NRSWA and Traffic Management Act
  • Understanding of Lane Rental Schemes
  • Familiarity with Confirm and Alloy Asset Management Systems (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
