About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Permitting Officer to join our team in Luton, working on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our Highway Maintenance Contract (HTMC) team, you will be responsible for ensuring all works on the network are permitted and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with Local Authorities to ensure smooth permitting processes
  • Coordinate and implement permitting strategies to meet project deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, and Lane Rental Schemes
  • Utilize Confirm and Alloy Asset Management Systems to streamline permitting processes
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Street Works permitting
  • Strong knowledge of NRSWA and Traffic Management Act
  • Understanding of Lane Rental Schemes
  • Familiarity with Confirm and Alloy Asset Management Systems (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
