About Cambian Home Tree School

Cambian Home Tree School is an independent DfE-registered, co-educational day school that specialises in accommodating students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

We cater for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years of age and provide individually tailored educational pathways to ensure each student's needs are met. Our teaching team is supported by a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, occupational therapists and therapeutic practitioners.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Instructor of English and Health and Social Care to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • To monitor and support the progress and development of students as an instructor.
  • To facilitate a learning experience that provides students with opportunities to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a flexible, creative and practical approach to learning and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A commitment to Safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care is essential. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
