Job Description:

School Health and Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic School Health and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team at Remedy Education. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of students with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing first aid and medical support to students, staff, and visitors, adhering to school policy and procedures.
  2. Managing and administering medication safely, in accordance with individual care plans and school guidelines.
  3. Collaborating with teaching staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive support for each student's medical needs.
  4. Maintaining accurate medical records, care plans, and incident reports, while upholding confidentiality and data protection regulations.
  5. Supporting the school's safeguarding and health policies, promoting a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A relevant medical qualification (e.g., First Aid, Nursing, or equivalent experience) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably within an SEN or educational setting.
  • Flexibility and ability to remain calm in urgent situations, with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
