Schools Mental Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Job Summary

North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Schools Mental Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in education settings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children and young people's mental health, wellbeing, and education/pastoral care. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff in education settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering high-quality interventions for children and young people in education settings.
  • Working closely with qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners, Senior Practitioners, CBT therapists, and other team members to support young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborating with staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Supporting children and young people to access specialist mental health services when needed.
  • Contribute to the development of a whole school approach to mental health wellbeing.
