Cluster Management Role

The Environmental Conservation Expert oversees five properties within the OAT Futures charity as a cluster manager. This role focuses on implementing sustainable conservation practices and ensuring the long-term preservation of our collections.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research to understand how objects or materials deteriorate and explore ways to slow this process, preserving our collections for longer.
  2. Analyze research papers, plan experiments, and write up findings from data analysis to address specific challenges related to our collections.
  3. Oversee the control of environmental parameters, specifying solutions for display cases in new exhibitions and ensuring they are installed and functioning correctly.
