Museum Collections Specialist

The Nationalmuseums is seeking a highly skilled Museum Collections Specialist to join our team. As an Apprentice Curator, you will work closely with colleagues across the museum, ensuring best practice standards and documentation, and may contribute to exhibitions, publications, and other museum projects.
You will be responsible for applying a cohesive understanding of oral history to all areas of activity and IWM's work. This includes supporting delivery of content for galleries and exhibitions, as well as other public program-related outputs. You will also work as a team member, consulting with colleagues and sharing knowledge and information.
In addition, you will facilitate and support access to the collection, knowledge, and skills to the public and colleagues across IWM. You will work with colleagues across IWM to support effective stewardship and care of the collection, and actively promote and implement IWM's strategy for widening access, inclusion, and diversity within the scope of the project.
A key aspect of this role is to keep up to date with changing technology to assist more efficient and effective working. You will also ensure familiarity with the Museum's health and safety policies and procedures.
