Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team in the north Manchester area. This full-time, long-term role offers the potential for permanency and provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

The successful candidate will be teaching a KS3 group of learners with Complex Needs and some students who are on a more structured timetable. To excel in this position, applicants must have prior experience teaching children with special needs and be able to differentiate lessons and activities to meet the varying needs, abilities, and interests of students.

The school caters for young people aged 11-16 with Autism, SLD, and Complex Needs, utilizing a bespoke curriculum focused on preparing students for life after school and aiming to help them achieve their potential. The right individual will have the skills to teach students working at much lower levels than expected for their age, focusing on physical, social & emotional, sensory, and communication development as well as academic attainment.

To be considered for this SEN Teacher role, candidates must:

  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Provide overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Be QTS or QTLS qualified
