Youth Support Specialist

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing need, planning, and delivering focused intervention to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that all statutory responsibilities are well managed, including visiting children, arranging reviews, and reporting to the court.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of delivering good outcomes for children and young people, and a good understanding of child development theories, legislation, policies, and practices. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Kent County Council offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from a range of professional development opportunities, including the Social Care Academy and other routes for progression.
