About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Helix Medical Centre in Bishops Stortford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving patients, making appointments, and handling requests for visits and messages.
- Offering general assistance to the surgery team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
- Receiving, assisting, and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the surgery, including secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the surgery team.
- Facilitating effective communication between patients, members of the primary healthcare team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies.

We are members of the local primary care network, providing extended services as a hub to the local community. We work with allied health professionals and an expanding complement of ARRs staff, including physician associates, clinical pharmacists, health and wellbeing advisors, care coordinators, social prescribers, and first contact physios.

Essential
- Previous experience within a busy GP practice is essential.
- Good working knowledge of SystmOne clinical system.
