About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Receptionist/Administrator to join our small, friendly team at Helix Medical Centre in Bishops Stortford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving patients, making appointments, and dealing with requests for visits and taking messages.
- Offering general assistance to the surgery team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person, via the telephone or in written communication.
- Receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the surgery including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the surgery team.
- Facilitating effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

We are members of the local primary care network providing extended services as a hub to the local community. We also work with allied health professionals together with an expanding complement of ARRs staff including physician associates, clinical pharmacist, health and wellbeing advisor, care co-ordinator, social prescribers and first contact physio etc. There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within our catchment area providing an interesting and varied case mix.
