Support Worker for Deafblind Individuals

About the Role
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Sense, a national disability charity supporting individuals who are deafblind or have complex disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will provide 1:1 support to children and adults with congenital Deafblindness, promoting personal and social development while encouraging independence.
You will receive specialist training in how to support individuals with dual-sensory impairments and other disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to individuals with Deafblindness
- Enable access to activities and promote independence
- Support individuals with day-to-day activities, personal care, and hygiene
- Accompany individuals on trips and outings
Requirements
- Full UK license with use of own vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
