Opportunity in Community Paediatrics

We are seeking a Clinical Fellow/Specialty Doctor to join our team in East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed-term role for 12 months, combining clinical work with research in neurodevelopment.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Community Paediatrics and research, with a minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience. They will be responsible for a mixed caseload of neurobehavioural and neurodevelopmental cases, including child development assessments and participation in safeguarding clinics.

The role also involves clinical and educational supervision of Paediatric SpRs (core/higher trainees). This is an excellent opportunity to join our enthusiastic and committed team of community and acute paediatricians, providing high-quality healthcare to the local child population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community-based clinical work, including safeguarding clinics and community paediatric clinics
  • Child development assessments and participation in safeguarding clinics
  • Clinical and educational supervision of Paediatric SpRs (core/higher trainees)
Person Specification
  • MBChB or equivalent
  • At least 4 years postgraduate experience, with at least one year in community paediatrics
  • Training in epilepsy, neurology, neuro-developmental problems, or autistic spectrum disorders
  • Experience of Postgraduate and Undergraduate teaching
