About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to join our Oncology department at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the cancer services across a wide range of tumour sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work according to an agreed job plan
  • Support the cancer services across a wide range of tumour sites
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary ward meetings, new patient clinics, chemotherapy review clinics, and follow-up clinics
  • Support the Radiotherapy unit and Collingwood centre
  • Attend relevant site-specific MDTs
  • Contribute to audit, research, CPD, appraisal, and revalidation

Requirements

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • Four years post-registration clinical practice
  • Experience in general medicine and Oncology

The Oncology Team are located across two sites, Ipswich and Colchester, and there is the opportunity for cross-site working. We are committed to collaborative working to ensure the long-term sustainability of oncology service provision and to increase opportunities, training, and research for medical staff.
