About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow/Specialty Doctor to join our team in Community Paediatrics at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative role that combines clinical work with research in neurodevelopment.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Community Paediatrics and research, with a minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience. They will be responsible for managing a mixed neurobehavioural and neurodevelopmental caseload, conducting child development assessments, and participating in safeguarding clinic rota. Additionally, they will provide clinical/educational supervision of Paediatric SpRs (core/higher trainees).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a mixed neurobehavioural and neurodevelopmental caseload
  • Conduct child development assessments
  • Participate in safeguarding clinic rota
  • Provide clinical/educational supervision of Paediatric SpRs (core/higher trainees)
Person Specification
  • MBChB or equivalent
  • At least 4 years postgraduate experience, at least one of which to be in community paediatrics
  • At least 1 year experience in community paediatrics
  • Training in epilepsy, neurology, neuro-developmental problems, or autistic spectrum disorders
  • Experience of Postgraduate and Undergraduate teaching
