This is a unique opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and associated support services.

The Role

As a Senior HSE Advisor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the H&S Advisors
  • Escalating issues that cannot be resolved or require further support to the H&S / Discipline Leads
  • Overseeing the HSE advisors' K.P.I's and supporting the HSE Area Lead within accident/investigations
  • Conducting audits of MEH site activities and sub-contractor operations, as well as facilitating meetings
  • Recording the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements
  • Building relationships with other Tier 1's and the Principal Contractor
  • Monitoring the working practices of MEH employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment, and welfare

This role is full-time and based onsite at Hinkley Point C.

Essential Experience

  • NEBOSH general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent
  • H & S Diploma or working towards
  • Strong construction background with a minimum 5 years' experience
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations
  • IT literate – familiar with Microsoft packages
