At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a HSE Advisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices on our Hinkley Point C site.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and associated support services.
The RoleAs a HSE Advisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices, and your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding both the workforce and the environment.
- Champion the HPC Way and its core pillars, promoting a culture of safety.
- Play a key role in the integrated Health & Safety team, providing expert advice.
- Monitor and inspect working practices, including conducting site inspections and reporting trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor.
- Provide specialist advice on HSE topics, ensure compliance with MEH policies, and manage incident response.
This role is full time 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.
Essential Experience- A strong construction background with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively explain HSE procedures and expectations to diverse audiences.
- Experience in the nuclear industry is desirable.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent.
