As a Financial Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing professional insurance advice to our departments, processing and managing claims, and liaising with Insurance Brokers and Insurance Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert insurance advice to departments, ensuring that our business interests are protected and our Members are supported.
  • Process and manage claims efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Liaise with Insurance Brokers and Insurance Companies to negotiate claims settlements and ensure compliance with local authority risk insurances.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of insurance policies, terms and conditions, claims processes, and local authority risk insurances.
  • Support the business in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring that our operations are compliant with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring that our business interests are protected.

Requirements:

  • UK experience in financial management and insurance, with a strong understanding of UK policies and local authority experience.
  • Proven track record of providing expert insurance advice and managing claims.
  • Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications or experience are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
