Child Psychologist Position in Community Paediatrics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Psychologist to join our Community Paediatrics team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative pathways for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality care. You will have the opportunity to develop and shape the role of psychology within the team, leading on service development, training, audit, and service evaluation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience of working with children and adolescents with ASD/ADHD traits. You will be a skilled communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues, families, and children to deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of new pathways for ASD
- Providing individual assessment, formulation, and brief intervention to children and young people
- Working with the team to develop informed care pathways
- Collaborating with other services to enhance the children's and young people's journey

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have:
- A professional Doctorate in Applied Psychology or equivalent
- Experience of working as a clinical specialist under supervision in Children's Services
- Experience of proposing and implementing service development projects
- Experience of supervising assistant and trainee psychologists
- Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
