About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Psychologist to join our Community Paediatric Team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering a diagnostic service for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate a systematic diagnostic service for ASD in children and young people referred to Community Paediatrics in Milton Keynes.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop informed care pathways and provide individual assessment, formulation, and brief intervention to a wide range of children and young people.
  • Link up with other services and offer effective signposting to enhance the children's and young people's journey.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Child Psychologist with:

  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
  • Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent), OR a combination of specialist short courses, or an evidenced portfolio of supervised practice-based learning in a specialist area of clinical practice, assessed by an experienced clinical supervisor to be of equal level to a Postgraduate Diploma.
