Job Description

The Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to new pharmacy technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new pharmacy technicians.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to ensure technicians meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy operations manager to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Conduct regular competency assessments to ensure technicians meet regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in pharmacy operations and training. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered pharmacy technician is required, with a preference for those with 5+ years of experience. National certification as a CPhT is also mandatory.

A competitive salary of $58,000 - $68,000 per year, depending on experience, will be offered to the successful candidate.
