About the Role

Calderdale Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Professional to join our team. As an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs and their families.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing and advising on the use of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007), working autonomously and providing guidance to families and professional referrers. Our newly-formed AMHP HUB provides a single point of referral for requests, offering the opportunity to apply your professional skills and values in a complex and dynamic environment.

What We Offer

We provide ongoing support and guidance from colleagues, a structured induction, monthly supervision, access to our AMHP Forum, regional YAMHP, and opportunities to achieve 18 hours of AMHP training a year. A full driving licence and access to a car on a daily basis are also essential.
