King's Lynn, Norfolk, United Kingdom 4myschools Ltd Full time
About the Role

As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Key Stages 1 & 2. This rewarding opportunity offers a unique chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support.

You will work closely with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans, providing one-to-one and group support to ensure pupils achieve their full potential. Your ability to communicate effectively with children who may have limited verbal skills will be essential in using communication aids like Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) and Makaton.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience working with children who have additional needs, preferably aged 5-11 years. A Level 3 qualification would be advantageous, but not essential. Most importantly, you must demonstrate flexibility, understanding, and patience when working with learners who present varying needs.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. As a dedicated member of our team, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A competitive salary package
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
