We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with physical disabilities.
Our care home, Dolywern, is a welcoming and inclusive environment where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers. You will work closely with our team to provide personalized support, promoting independence and dignity for each individual.
As a Support Worker, your duties will include:
- Assisting with daily life tasks, such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
- Escorting and assisting customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
- Supporting our Person-Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Flexibility and creativity in working with customers and their families.
- Personal care experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota where required.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday, and a weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
