We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Dolywern, a care home for adults with physical disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to promote independence and well-being.
- Escort and assist residents in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support our Person-Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence and helping residents achieve their individual aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and creativity in working with residents and their families, adapting to their needs and preferences.
- Personal care experience is desirable but not essential; we offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota where required.
