About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services
A safe home is the foundation upon which individuals can build their lives. We provide support to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people.
Our approach to accommodation goes beyond providing a roof over one's head and shelter from the elements. We strive to create a welcoming and flourishing environment that offers opportunities for our clients to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support, helping them on their journey towards a brighter future.
About the Role
Woodlands is a Supported Accommodation Service located in Ashington, providing 22 self-contained 1-bedroom flats over two floors. We support males and females aged 18+ with a connection to Northumberland to become flourishing, independent individuals and overcome the interconnected problems that led them to accessing our services.
The service is staffed 24/7, with a friendly and dedicated team supported by a Project Lead and Senior Support Worker. We are seeking individuals to join our team and contribute to making a positive impact on the lives of those we support. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the daily safety and well-being of everyone accessing the Service, as well as working with a small caseload of individuals who require regular 1:1 meetings to support them with ongoing issues and eventually a successful move into their own accommodation.
