Berwick, Northumberland, United Kingdom Changing Lives Full time

About Changing Lives

We are a nationwide charity dedicated to helping people facing challenging circumstances to make positive change. Our mission is to provide a safe home, a rewarding job, and a life free from addiction or abuse. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to overcome their problems and live a successful, independent life.

Our services across the country support thousands of people each year who are experiencing homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, unemployment, involvement with the criminal justice system, sexual exploitation, and domestic abuse. We focus on their strengths, potential, and opportunities to help them overcome their challenges.

About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

We provide safe and welcoming accommodation for people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. Our services include specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people. We offer a home rather than just a shelter, providing a supportive environment for people to feel comfortable and develop.

About the Job

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team at Woodlands, a Supported Accommodation Service in Ashington. The service provides 22 self-contained 1-bedroom flats and supports males and females aged 18+ to become flourishing, independent people. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the daily safety and well-being of everyone accessing the service and supporting a small caseload of individuals with ongoing issues.

We offer an attractive salary, additional benefits, and a supportive work environment. If you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits

We offer a range of benefits, including 25 days annual leave, 2 Wellbeing Days, Birthday Leave, and 8 Bank Holidays. We also offer a contributory pension scheme, death in service benefit, and access to an employee benefit platform.
