Job Title: Residential Childcare Assessor / Trainer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Childcare Assessor / Trainer to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Assessor / Trainer, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.
  • Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
  • Manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
  • Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.

Requirements:

  • Hold either a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA OR Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
  • Ideally have experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare ideally up to Level 5.
  • Hold a minimum of 2 years' occupational competency at Team Leader level or above within a Residential Childcare setting.
  • Must hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
