Principal Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Lead to join our Trident Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a deep understanding of the operation of the SWS and the platform equipment and services required to allow it to meet availability targets.
About the Role:
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects and a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the integration of the Strategic Weapons System and Supporting Systems into the Dreadnought Class Submarine
- Encouraging and guiding continuous improvement, challenging current practice where appropriate
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Chartership or working towards
- Understanding of the role of an SSBN, its mission and how the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) contributes to it
- Understanding of the operation of the SWS and the platform equipment and services required to allow it to meet availability targets
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum + benefits
