Role Summary
BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our Platform Nuclear Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the design, build, and test activities on the Naval Reactor Plant (NRP) across multiple programmes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that the design intent is met in the final product, with a strong emphasis on developing technical solutions to problems and ensuring the associated safety case is adequate.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Control and Instrumentation Engineering, as well as experience of supporting build and commissioning of Electrical and/or Control Systems. Additionally, you should have a demonstrable understanding of 3 phase/single phase machines, digital and analogue based control systems, and mechanical interfaces. Technical report writing skills are also essential. Experience of justifying design change, ideally on a Nuclear Plant, would be desirable, as would previous Nuclear Plant experience and knowledge of the Nuclear Industry and Nuclear Regulations. Exposure to Microsoft Office Suite is also beneficial.
