Career Opportunity: Capital Works Coordinator at CV-Library

We're looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Housing Team as a Capital Works Coordinator. Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, procurement, delivery, and management of capital works programmes across our housing portfolio.

As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for the health, safety, and condition of council-owned dwellings by identifying and analyzing defects, then implementing cost-effective solutions within set timelines and budgets.

Your expertise in managing contractors, procuring services, and supervising maintenance activities will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth operation of our property portfolio.

While working closely with colleagues, you will maintain the highest standards of property upkeep, participate in emergency planning, and engage in standby duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and coordinate capital works projects, including procurements, inspections, and maintenance activities
  2. Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure optimal property conditions
  3. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality property-related services
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports on property maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in property maintenance or a related field
  • Proven track record in project management, contractor supervision, and budgeting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
