Housing Property Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Housing Property Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering core business functions to our multi-million pound Housing Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accountable for the health, safety, and condition of council-owned dwellings by identifying and analyzing defects, leading to managing cost-effective works on time, quality, and budget.
  2. Responsible for planning, preparation, procurement, delivery, and management of capital works programmes from inception to completion, adhering to time, quality, and budget standards.
  3. Manage contractors delivering inspection, risk assessment, renovation, servicing, and maintenance to council-owned property, ensuring effective supervision and administration.
  4. Participate in emergency planning and standby rota as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in property maintenance, management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols, with ability to identify and analyze defects.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in planning, preparation, procurement, and delivery of capital works programmes.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively within a team.

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
