Financial Risk and Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk and Governance Analyst to join our team at M Group Services. This role will be responsible for supporting our risk and governance-led function, building and maintaining our Risk and Governance reporting process, and tracking our ECO risk position.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring and Reporting: Update and maintain Risk Register, track resolution progress, and compile updates for energy supplier partners.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with Finance to organize accounting of any re-scores, rejections, or other changes.
- Technical Resolution: Support Reporting Analysts to ensure supplier queries are resolved in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Risk and Reporting Manager and Finance to provide internal stakeholders with updates on financial risk position.
- Regulations and Policy Interpretation: Stay up-to-date with all relevant Government and Regulator guidance, policy proposals, and legislation.
- Other Reasonable Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
- Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge and experience of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) including scheme rules and compliance requirements.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reporting and Presenting: Excellent reporting and presenting ability.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Critical Thinking: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Grant-Funded Programmes: Knowledge of other grant-funded retrofit and energy efficiency programmes, such as the Green Homes Grant LAD, Home Upgrade Grant, and Warm Homes Fund.
- Data Analysis: Data analysis skills, including advanced use of MS Excel.
- Large-Scale Consumer Programmes: Experience of designing and delivering large-scale consumer programmes.
- Salary: Up to £27,000.
- Remote Role: Remote role within the UK.
