The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Assistant - Optometry to join our team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting our surgeons and clinical teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-operative testing and patient instruction
  • Assisting surgeons during consent appointments and treatments
  • Undertaking roles such as scrub assistant and HCA in IOL theatre
  • Reporting untoward incidents and participating in quality and risk management
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to absorb and convey technical information
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Confident and professional individual with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity, and discretion
  • Flexibility to travel to other clinics on a regular basis
