We are seeking an experienced photo assignments editor to join our Visual Media Team. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of industry-standard photo editing tools, including Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, and FTP/CMS/DAM systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign photographers to capture essential elements of stories
  • Process imagery with speed and accuracy using Bloomberg's proprietary systems and industry-standard tools
  • Rapidly interpret text and match with appropriate imagery
  • Make photo choices that are both accurate and tasteful, considering cultural sensitivities
  • Familiarity with legal issues involved with image licensing, permissions, and privacy rights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment and meet urgent deadlines
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an 'all hands on deck' environment
