Job Title: Digital Commercial Editor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Commercial Editor to join our team at Mark Allen Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the editorial process of six magazines annually, including proofreading, image sourcing, and independent sign-off, while maintaining top standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the editorial process of six magazines annually, ensuring high-quality content and timely delivery.
• Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our audience's interests and maximizes commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with the publishing team to produce engaging content across various platforms, including print, digital, and events.
• Manage the awards initiative from start to finish, including appointing a judging panel, shortlisting entries, coordinating performances, and representing the magazine at the event.
• Utilize commercial success metrics to inform content decisions and optimize revenue growth.

Requirements:

• Strong background in journalism and a passion for education.
• Proven experience in editorial management, with a track record of producing high-quality content.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems.

What We Offer:

• A competitive salary range of £27,000-£30,000 (DOE) plus benefits.
