Account Coordinator Job Description

BTA is seeking an experienced Account Coordinator to join our London Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in managing our firm's accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general cashiering duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and code invoices, expenses, and counsel fees on Elite 3E and Chrome River, ensuring timely payment and compliance with SRA accounts rules.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filed electronically in the relevant folder.
  • Prepare payment run processes for direct upload to the bank, verifying all bank details are correct.
  • Manage the firm's Credit Card accounts, ensuring all expenditure is approved and coded correctly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to vendor/employee inquiries regarding the payment process.
  • Review bank accounts daily and notify partners of receipt of bill payments.
  • Post all receipts and direct debits on Elite 3E.
  • Assist with producing weekly and monthly client bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor bank balances to ensure sufficient funds.
  • Arrange for transfers between accounts when necessary.
  • Provide information and documentation to Auditors on the SRA Audit.
  • Log any SRA breaches and inform the London office COFA representative.
  • Support special finance-related projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy legal accounts department.
  • Working knowledge of Elite 3E and Chrome River.
  • Strong knowledge of SRA rules and regulations.
